Child Care Subsidy

The majority of the families are eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which can help in reducing the cost by up to 80%. This calculator may be used as a guide to help you estimate your eligibility and subsidy amount. Please note that the decisions regarding CCS are made by Services Australia.

The Village Childcare provides free support to families in this process. If you require support, please email us and we will arrange a free support consultation with you.

ENROLMENT AND BOOKINGS

  • Please email us at admin@thevillagechildcarealbany.com.au and provide us with the service you require and your child’s age. We will get back to you with the service’s availability as soon as possible.

  • Yes, we accept casual bookings based on the service’s availability at the time. Please email us at admin@thevillagechildcarealbany.com.au and provide us with the dates you require and your child’s age. We will get back to you with the service’s availability as soon as possible.

  • Please notify your service by email if your child is not attending a booked session.

    Please note that if the absence falls on a day that is booked permanently you will still be charged for the session.

    You will not be charged provided that notice is given to us prior to 5:00pm the day before the booking.

  • We require 2 weeks’ written notice in order to cease care.

    If you are receiving CCS, please note that CCS is not payable for any absences after your child’s last day of physical attendance.

    Therefore, you will be required to attend your last booked day of care to ensure that CCS is paid.

  • The Village Childcare is an inclusive service where we provide care and education for children with additional needs.

  • Yes, if your child has a permanent booking, standard charges apply during public holidays. It is standard practise for children to be marked as absent by the service on public holidays and families continue to receive CCS entitlements during those days.

    We use the waitlist links to contact families based on their specific needs and our availability at the service.

    Once you have completed the waitlist form, you are very welcome to contact us – we would be happy to confirm the form completion and to provide you with any current details regarding the service.

CHILD CARE SUBSIDY (CCS)

  • As an approved Australian childcare provider, CCS is paid directly to The Village Childcare and this is calculated by Services Australia based on your family’s specific entitlements. Families are required to pay the gap fee between the CCS and the childcare fees.
